Following hot on the heels of the first Beerquest
adventure (even though this spread is TWO WEEKS LATE), the Stick and Puck Brothers once
again went out in search of good hockey and cold beer. This time, with the Stars in town facing Fin in game 5 of the first round, we wandered into the asylumn that Reunion Arena had turned into. |
| Leading our heroes out onto the ice once
again, the Eagle would show why he is our "last, best hope for victory." Yeah, I know that's Babylon 5 shtick in a blatantly Star Trek-inspired piece, but hey! it fits. If you could see the top of Eddie's mask, you'd see the spot where the paint had worn thin from all the "standing-on-his-head" he'd done to keep the battered Stars in the series. |

Mike Modano lit the lamp first for the Stars with under five ticks left on the clock. It was a thing of beauty especially since the "cocaine and boob-job crowd" had filed out a couple of minutes before to take their perches at the Stars Club In my humble opinion, they can have their Club, leave the game to the fans. |
