Friday night was the first game for me and my instructional league team, the Bruins.  After about three weeks and five assorted practices, I felt ready.   I even thought I might have a shut out in me.
Even though I wasn't wearing the number I wanted (number 1 worn by shut-out king Terry Sawchuck), I was supremely confident.

The pre-game warm-up went well.  Even though we had some minor organization problems, I felt that we had the stuff to make a mincemeat out of the opposing North Stars.  Besides, nothing was getting past me.

Or so I thought . . .
