This had to be the most hockey intensive week of my life.  Certainly not from any spectator standpoint, but as a player.  It seems to have taken on a life of its own, like some worm that has burrowed down deep into my soul.  At one time, I was more than content to sit and watch.  Now, I find myself squirming and twitching, mentally flashing phantom gloves out at shadow pucks whether watching at home or rinkside.

And that is how I was for seven days

Monday night was supposed to be quality time with the Ticket Chick, but it was not meant to be.  Monday night was skills class and a game night to boot.   Quality time turned into "help Joe get warmed up for the game" time.   I would leave soon after to get some ice time and to get ready for that night's opponent. Not me.
Denied! Tonight we would face the Five Holes.  With a name like that you'd think that maybe we'd have a pretty good chance of winning.

Truth to tell, it wasn't even close.

The Five Holes would shell us 10-2 with me giving up four goals in the first five minutes of the game.

I don't know how it happened . . .

I thought I had the puck . . .

Got it!
