There
are any number of words that can describe this season for the Comets. Undefeated.
Winning. Fun. But with the
sound of the final buzzer Friday night, another word was added to the list.
Over.
With
the end of the game also came the end of an era (if you will) in Comets' hockey
With
our heads in the future and our hearts in the past, we would go on to turn in
a mostly uninspired game. One that would see us give up two goals to a team that
had scored only one all season.
What
made it worse was we didn't care. We won in spite of ourselves
In
the end, it only turned out to be the beginning all over again.
I
could probably go on with the gory details, but I think I've talked enough.
